Abitzai Project
Rome , 2025
Abitzai Project was born in the heart of the Prati district in Rome and extends over an area of 300 m² distributed across two levels, in a space that previously hosted a contemporary art gallery. The design concept is based on the idea of emphasizing its original function, transforming it into an exhibition venue in which various Made in Italy brands are harmoniously integrated.
The new space presents itself to the city with large street-facing windows, through which it is possible to see almost the entirety of the interior layout.
The original structural elements have been preserved—arches, vaults, and solid bricks typically found in Rome—and inside, the visitor follows a natural flow toward the lower level, accompanied by alternating textile, ceramic, and wooden surfaces on display panels, by the furnishing elements, and by the lighting fixtures, in a sequence marked by contemporary atmospheres.
No displayed element overwhelms another; the result takes shape as a stimulating continuum, serving architects and designers, encouraging experimentation and fostering fruitful, creative design contaminations.
